Organized by the African Movie Festival in Manitoba (AM-FM), this event aims to commemorate the diversity and cultural richness within our community during the celebration of Canada Day.

AM-FM, hosted by Manitoba African Film Festival Inc., is a non-profit organization based in Winnipeg, Canada. Boxed is an award-winning fictionalized short film based on the true story of the terrifying daring escape of Henry “Box” Brown, an enslaved man who used creativity to escape from slavery in 1849 by mailing himself to freedom.
