English — Julius Morno is a graduate of the National Film Institute in Jos, Nigeria. He was also trained as a Writer/Director at Imagine Centre in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso under the tutelage of prominent African Filmmaker, Gastone Kabore. He has attended several training workshops in the field of script writing and directing, both at home, in Nigeria and abroad.
He is a Writer/Director that stays between Jos and Lagos in Nigeria. He launched his career in Jos as a freelance Writer/Director before working with Skynet Productions, Topshots Productions and finally Gray Revsolution, the company he helped found. He has since directed several short films which include “Sun Dancers”, “Free” and “The Camera”. His last short film, ‘The Camera” was funded by The Goethe institute and Art in Africa Foundation as part of the Pan-African short film competition titled “Latitudes-Quest for the good life’’. The film made the final nine (9) films which were compiled in a DVD of the same title and premiered during the Berlin International film festival 2010. From then it has screened at FESPACO in Ouagadougou, Durban International Film Festival in South Africa, Carthage Film Festival in Tunisia and many others. His feature film project script “Bloodline Africa” is among the two projects selected for the Babylon International workshop that took place in Berlin and Abuja in April and September 2011, respectively. Another of his projects, “Life More or Less” is the only Nigerian project selected for Durban Film Mart 2013. He is currently in the development stage of the two feature projects which are conceived for international sales and distribution.

Il a également été formé en tant qu’écrivain / réalisateur au Centre Imagine à Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso, sous la tutelle de l’éminent cinéaste africain Gastone Kabore. Il a participé à plusieurs ateliers de formation dans le domaine de l’écriture et de la réalisation de scénarios, à la fois dans son pays, au Nigéria et à l’étranger.
Il est un écrivain / réalisateur qui reste entre Jos et Lagos au Nigeria. Il a lancé sa carrière chez Jos en tant que scénariste / réalisateur indépendant avant de travailler avec Skynet Productions, Topshots Productions et enfin Grey Revsolution, la société qu’il a aidé à fonder. Il a depuis réalisé plusieurs courts métrages dont “Sun Dancers”, “Free” et “The Camera”. Son dernier court métrage, «The Camera», a été financé par l’institut Goethe et la Fondation Art in Africa dans le cadre de la compétition panafricaine de courts métrages intitulée «Latitudes-Quest for the good life» ». Le film a réalisé les neuf (9) derniers films qui ont été compilés dans un DVD du même titre et présentés en première au Festival international du film de Berlin 2010. Depuis lors, il a été projeté au FESPACO à Ouagadougou, au Festival international du film de Durban en Afrique du Sud, à Carthage Film Festival en Tunisie et bien d’autres.
Son scénario de projet de long métrage «Bloodline Africa» fait partie des deux projets sélectionnés pour l’atelier Babylon International qui a eu lieu à Berlin et Abuja en avril et septembre 2011, respectivement. Un autre de ses projets, «Life More or Less» est le seul projet nigérian sélectionné pour Durban Film Mart 2013. Il est actuellement en phase de développement des deux projets de longs métrages conçus pour les ventes et la distribution internationales.
